Access Electronic Resources

To access electronic resources (e-books, e-journals, databases etc):

MyMDX > Study  > Library > Library: Quick Links

 

Logging in to Library Resources

When you access e-books, journals and databases from Library Search, the Reading Lists or the Databases list, you may see this login page.

Sign in with your IT User ID, for example AB123 and your usual MyMDX password.

Contact your Librarians to report an access problem

If you are having difficulties accessing a library eresource...

Please firstly try the following:

  • Clear your browser cache and history (see the guide below), close and re-open your browser and try accessing the library eresource again
  • If the above doesn't work, please try again using another web browser
  • If you are still having problems, please use the links below to contact your Librarians for help

Interruption to studies

If you are interrupting your studies or not attending and this has been agreed by the University and recorded on our systems (with the codes IN or NA) then you will continue to be able to use the Library as follows:

  • Access the Library using your student card
  • Login to a library computer
  • Free printing
  • Login to myUniHub
  • Access the Library’s online e-resources (journals, ebooks, databases etc)
  • Borrow books from the Library
  • The SCONUL Access Scheme

 

Students who receive additional support from the library because of a specific additional need will also continue to have:

  • Use the Library buddy scheme
  • Support  requesting accessible book formats (for resources relevant to your current studies)
